Private Travel Design Session

A one-to-one travel planning session where I help you shape a thoughtful, well-designed trip—grounded in experience, discernment, and a deep knowledge of place.

Are you planning a trip to France, the Cotswolds, or the American West—and want it to feel thoughtful, memorable, and truly worth your time and investment?

Are you short on time, or finding yourself overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information, recommendations, and AI-generated itineraries out there?

Do you want clear, trusted, deeply considered guidance on where to stay, what to prioritize, and which experiences are actually worth building your trip around?

Would it feel helpful to shape your plans with someone who knows these places deeply, returns to them often, and approaches travel through the lens of art, design, and local creative life?

If so, you’re in the right place.

Our areas of specialization include France, the Cotswolds, and the American West.

I offer a limited number of sessions each week (typically 1–2) to keep this work thoughtful and personalized.

WHY WORK WITH ME

I come to travel not just as a planner, but as a curator.

With a background in art and design (MFA), 15+ years in the design world, and as the author of Paris by Design, my work is rooted in a trained eye, deep research, and years of on-the-ground experience.

I’ve lived in France and Belgium, speak French, and return to Europe regularly to continue building relationships, scouting new places, and refining what I recommend. The same goes for the Western US, where I’ve spent a lifetime traveling and continue to return to year after year.

Over time, I became the person friends, family, and readers turned to when they wanted help shaping a trip—and eventually, that naturally evolved into my travel design work and small group trips.

What I love most is helping people create something that feels personal and deeply considered—introducing them to places they may not have found on their own, and helping them experience a destination in a way that feels both beautiful and meaningful.

THE COTSWOLDS

For the Cotswolds, I collaborate with B Brooks—a garden designer and travel curator based in the English countryside.

We met when she joined one of my Provence trips, and it quickly became clear that we shared a similar way of seeing and moving through the world. She now leads and curates our Cotswolds experiences and offers private sessions for that region.

Our travelers consistently fall in love with her warmth, humor, and depth of knowledge—and I feel incredibly lucky to have her as part of this work.

A MORE HUMAN APPROACH

There’s no shortage of information when it comes to travel—endless articles, recommendations, and increasingly, AI-generated itineraries.

But what’s often missing is discernment.

This work is built on years of experience, trusted relationships, and a deeply human understanding of place—how it feels, what’s worth your time, and how to shape a trip that reflects your interests and energy.

If that’s what you’re looking for, we’d love to help you create something truly special.

“This trip was absolutely fabulous! I have always wanted a chance to see part of Europe through the eyes of artists, & this was the perfect opportunity. Eva arranged some amazing experiences for us, which allowed us to have a more personal, intimate look. Most of these experiences were things that I could not have arranged on my own & provided a depth that most people don’t get to see when they travel...”

OVERVIEW OF THE PROCESS

In your Private Travel Design Session, you’ll meet one-on-one with me or B Brooks (depending on your destination) to shape a thoughtful, well-designed plan for your trip.

We’ll begin by talking through your ideas, interests, and priorities—then use that as a foundation to explore and refine options together in real time. By the end of the session, we’ll have mapped out a clear, personalized direction for your trip, along with practical insights to help everything run smoothly.

You’ll leave with:

  • a curated list of places, experiences, and ideas tailored to you

  • clarity on what’s worth prioritizing (and what’s not)

  • and a plan you can move forward with confidently

It’s a focused, highly efficient hour—and we’re often able to cover far more than people expect.
